Hi, my name is Christine. Welcome to my blog.
Recently, I started a new business and website that I would like to share with you. My mother taught me how to sew when I was 8 years old and shared with me her passion for all things home-made and home-grown. In the mid-1980’s, I studied fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in San Francisco, where I obtained my degree. For economic reasons, I took a different career path, in the semiconductor industry, thinking it would be temporary. It wasn’t! Throughout my life’s journey I continued to sew for myself and now, at last, I have the good fortune to pursue my dream of designing, pattern making, and being a custom couturier. I continue to take fashion classes at Canada College, which has been a rewarding experience, as it allows me to keep current with trends in fashion and I enjoy the camaraderie, energy, and creativity of the student environment.
With this blog, I intend to share fashionable ideas and things with you, including projects I am working on, designer and custom techniques and my passion for refashioning.
Please take a moment to learn more about me and my offerings at my new website www.zigzagdesigns.biz and feel free to contact me by email with any questions or comments you may have along the way firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for tuning in. I hope you will join me in my new journey.
